Default AF/CC Event

We had a first meeting on Sunday, 22 Feb. Some Group/Clubs are planning to hold their individual events and we are also planning to organise one large event in September 2009, where everyone will participate. As we are a small group, we will only participate in the September 2009 event.

As you all know, I am not exactly au fait with invertebrates and therefore, will need the following information from all from all of you:
  • Area required - please advise length and width if specific measurement is crucial. Otherwise, a total sq m required.
  • Supporting stuff - eg: equipment, etc...

For your info, the water parameters taken in the CC was pH6.5, KH 0, GH 0. Please advise if this is suitable or if you will use your own water.

bro i think is better we bring our own water and maybe even cycle it for a day or more with the water as shrimp are super sensative to water change.. and also different breed of shrimp required different type of water parameter.. so it pretty hard..

as for the area it all depend hw many bro are willing to join in and hw many tank are we having.. how many breed are we inputing in the showcase..

It's not easy to get breeders to showcase as there are not many locally. If this even is purely AF, that also mean it's not so much for breeders.

The power loading is minimal. For such events (exhibition), my guess is, hobbyist will use a 2ft tank or smaller due to water concerns (since we will likely bring own water, with minimal fresh water). Just a simple gauge of power per setup:
- Lights : 15w
- Pump/Canister : 150w (guess)
- Chiller : 1.1A
