They need to use a better quality ballast especially for the prices they are retailing this product. It's only fair.

Indeed the ballast quality is questionable. I honestly do not use it for tanning but general lighting. Each night on max 4hrs. In 1 year i change one faulty ballast and now even the 2nd ballast has failed.

is the ballast repairable? Perhaps yes but cost more than buying a new set

True to say qian hu tanning light ballast quality control is worsen.
Has failed me 3 time in two months and only switch it on for 7 hours a day only. In the end, brought another ballast from sls and diy the cable connector and still working good since 6 months pass. Don't trust their warranty on the product. Think other brand product with the same or close price range can perform than this. Just my two cents... |

The tanning LED will help to tan the fish and gives it a deeper coloration and tone but the effect that result from the tanning might or might be forever depending on the fish or any other reason like water perimeter. |

Bought 2 set of 6 feet LED golden light. Ballast spoilt. Go to Qian Hu for exchange, they claimed no stock ie no spare to change. Asked me to go to Sim Lim Square to buy myself. I will think they should at least have some spare to sell at cost price if they do not want to exchange for free when quality is obviously an issue now since many customers are experiencing it.

I got into same situation w u. .... But actually when ur light is say 29w, u can opt to ask them got slightly higher rating like 32w etc, it's all 12v thus won't damage ur lights. Mine tat time no warrenty. That's y they dun change or sell me even if I wanna buy. But talk to my fren a electric guru, he say as long as 12v, no issue. Thus ended I bought a slightly higher rating , all went well |

Wow Qian Hu customer service really that bad now. Used to be great service in the past or maybe change management team...
After hearing all these, may think twice before buying their products. |
