I believe there are others out there who are able to get their turtles to breed so definitely I am not the first one.

So far only 1 pair. I see 5 other eggs that seem to be developing so not sure if they will hatch or not. Then again I got another batch of 16 eggs on from last Sunday so maybe some more hatchlings from the batch. Gotta wait 7 or so weeks for this latest batch.

hey bro, so you alwaye let her out in the park to lay her eggs?
and did not provide sand bed at your place? interesting.. haha

Ocadia sinensis (aka Mauremys sinensis) is classifiied as Endangered (En) under the IUCN red list but the they are being bred commercially in large quantity so i guess still ok to "give" or "sell"...

Btw, i am not encouraging you to "give" or "sell", what i am trying to say is do not worry that your action will affect the wild population unless it is trading of wild livestock.

Yeah last Sunday was actually the 4th time I brought her downstairs for a "walk". All the nearby residents were curious as to what I was doing with a blue tub and staring at what seems to be empty patch of grass. One of the times it was mid-afternoon and I had the idea of wearing a black cap. A couple of the residents was watching me with wary eyes since I look mighty suspicious with the black cap and walking to and fro around the void deck.

Actually I hope to breed as many as I can and try to repopulate the world with them. Hope I can find enough responsible owners to take care of them and perhaps even breed the next generation.
