Channa Pleuro

Threw feeders in for mine but they dont seem too interested...wonder how they sustain themselves..maybe drink water big one...

there are varients of channa pleuro? i believe pleuros get to 18" fairly commonly.

What's diplo?
To what I understand from the net there seems to be different variant.
For instance the various different kind of spots on their body, which I do not really understand what is the significant of it. Could it be of different variant with different spots or cross breed of wild caught and home breed species over the years.
I have seen some locally available Pleuro with no as many or as beautiful spots, compared to some more expensive type which comes with more beautiful spots.
Still learning and sharing and hope to learn more.

Nope...not yet...and it doesnt seem to show any interest in feeders either...but its still so active and alert.....think they only drink water.

oh yes man....real nice..and very docile too....they dont attack each other..and they hardly disturb my other fishes...even small ones....funny...

Instead, my EEs are the worst lot...i threw in feeders meant for the plueros...my EEs ate them like nobody's biz!

bro so pleuros aren't aggressive by nature or does it vary depending on each individual?

in my experience, alone, they're pretty harmless. but in pairs or groups, my pleuros have torn up, beaten andattacked every fish in my tank save my 20+" gars. the pleuros were around 7-8", and they attacked my 12" african arowanas and 18" endlicheri congicus.

any idea if this channa pleuro will grow to how big? are they aggrasive? will fight with aro anot? looks interesting.. maybe can get 1 for my aro 422 tank..

edit : okay.. saw in the previous page it grows to 16inches...

From what i know.....after observing mine that is...i dun think so....but then mine are still juveniles...and i would not be too certain on their temperament as they get bigger.
