If u want to cycle fast fast u can try must master Silane method he posted it somewhere i forgottent to keep the link.
It is a method of 7 days full 100% w/c method. I try alt day 100% after 1 week 0 ammonia. 0.5 nitrite i did 50% after that 3rd of 2nd week 0.25. I whack commando in. With Baxter nitiritfying liquid. n Bt-9 go to test tonite again to see nitrite lvl drop bo. |

I guess I am still not ready for the "high tech" setup for the rooted plants and etc as it will involve CO2 n etc right? haha..still learning for now.. Icic..haha..okie..hmm I read somewhere that says do not do WC as it will reduce the ammonia that BB will feed on..maybe its more for fish tanks and not shrimps? Quote:

I learnt from seniors here that the sponge that you're using (that I used) is not 'fine' enough to prevent shimplets from getting sucked into the filter. Would suggest you change the sponge. Cheers.

Buy those ith very fine holes ( more compact), it about $2 if I am not wrong, but this kind of compact sponge will have to keep maintaining as it will collapse once it is choked. The center of the sponge will have a lady waist look alike once choked, and it a signal to take it out and wash.....
