Bro, i have some ketapang leave. if u want some, maybe can collect from me at serangoon north ave 1. My ketapang leave is already been processed coz i bought it long time ago and it works great for me when i have arowana. Those leave can help to reduce ur PH level. Ur case is opposite with mine and I know u also very anxious of how to improve ur water parameter.

Okay I just bought the KH test kit. It's Aqumedi brand. I read the instruction but have not used yet. Is by colour code( Blue over green and then into yellow) One drops is equal to 1dkh. So i assume is KH1 per drop till to the desire colour change to yellow.
My question here is how to know ur tank water is KH zero? I mean when u put in the first drop, it consider 1 but i read some ppl got kh reading zero. <<Given 1 situation whereby my KH is zero. Assuming that i scoop out 5ml of water from my tank for testing, i put in the 1st drop, it turned yellow, so i will assume that the KH is 1 even though is zero>>. Is it how it tested? If u dun mind, could kindly explain? First time use this stuff so a little blur and confusing Last edited by Casey74; 11-10-2007 at 04:28 PM. Reason: Adding |

With ADA or soils with high acidity, using UGF or improper gravel cleaning will bring down pH drastically. Low pH effect ends eventually when soil acidity almost totally exhausted. For me artificially increase kH is just like Panadol that may be helpful to some headache sufferers but not cure the root cause. |
