It is not just applied to CRS, it can also apply to most of the shrimp species that we came across such as bee, tiger, Sulawesi, cherry and etc.

However, you have to train yourself to determine the sex. As long as you can see the length of the shortest antennae, regardless the size or age, you will be able to tell the sex in advance before they are mature.

you are right have to train yourself... if u have good skill and sharp eye u can id sex as early as 1cm.

here 2 tip to id sex
Look at the 2rd sectors of the shell after the head sectors. If it is fattest or thickest than other sectors of the shells it can be a female.
Next is female body is much fatter than male...
(why because female need to store the egg under the body or between the leg. therefore it have fatter body)
