there is something wrong with my IT...

i have nv seen it feed before...

its in a tank with my 7' aro... and when i throw in mp... mp that is ignored by my aro will fall to the floor of the tank.. but my it does not pick it up and eat...

i do occasionnally put in feeder fish... but i nv seen the IT eat any of the feeder too... i do see it try and eat some... but it will back away after awhile of stalking...

i have a big seashell in my tank.. and my IT is hiding in the shell all the while... whats wrong with my IT?

for those keeping small IT smaller than 2" its actually very understandable to expect up to 50% causualty esp when u only choose 3-bars.

i so far 10% casualty, expecting another one more death of my small IT.
but i think its acceptable level since in the wild not all fish from a spawn will live.

mine are all taking MP except for 1.

actually it pays to buy a slightly more expensive( hence abit bigger) IT. really increases the chances of survival

True true, small IT of 1cm are hard to keep, the other way is to wait for Bro who bought 1cm IT and grew bigger, when they gave up then buy from them at double the price or so, but still more worth it lar, taking all the angles into consideration

IMO so heater is a must for small or big tiger, they are easily to get white spot for lower tempt, as exprienced for my bigger IT .
.... bro Fallen thnx for the input.

Ever kept my 7'' n 8'' IT in the two 2ft tank before my big tank cycle and they juz laying/hiding in a corner.
Later tranfering them to 5 ft tank n they start to active around.
IMO for those mini fellas need a suitable or right size of tank shld b a important fact to minimize
the loss .
....bro DesmondPeh thnx!

i believe for small ITs salt is a must.. To prevent them from getting parasites or infections.. Heater only on when needed.. Feed them lots of food.. My tank always has food inside for them.. 2 ft tank with 7 mini tigers inside powered by eheim ecco 2333.. So far no casuaties since day 1.. Which is 1month ago.. Grown about 30percent in size.. Hope they will continue to grow big and strong..

another thing i would like to advice bros about small ITs is their diet.. try not to feed them chopped mp but feed them those hikari frozen cubes.. blood worms, mysis, or brine also can.. why do i say so?? cos these food are enriched with vitamins and minerals which can help build the immune sys of these baby ITs which mp does not have.. hope i'm of some help to u guys..

Hi,

Advise needed.

Been to C328 recently, saw a tank and a small tub of what i think is juvie IT. Can anyone please confirm? I am hoping to purchase >10 pieces and really wanna avoid mis-ID.

Size around 20cent coin.

The tub is infront of aros near ph meter and the tank is on the same side nearer to front of shop.

Thank you

Will update pics after purchase.
