my fren keeps a pair of koonacs but it only lasted 1 week...it died in a very funny way...both stoned there and not moving..it is still standing straight haha...same spot same position but not moving for 2 days..he went to check for presence of life but once he push them..they fell to their side...weird!
he bought from c328 ....y934 have 3 orange tip last sunday when i went over...all perfect...the orange is bright but the body is not very black

Yes, they are notorious for dying mysteriously, not unlike the Marron, which is another evil. It will be nice to be able to sustain them in the future through knowledge sharing in the forums by all our bros, but I think it is still some way away. Let's just hope we do not take too much damage in our quest to keep these beauties of nature.

It seems that at least you have the temperature under control, definitely presents a better chance of survival. Bro destination3 used to keep them with a chiller, but alas, they didn't quite make it. Wow, they don't come often at all. Did you manage to secure some pieces? They are beauties, with the orange tip on the claws especially striking. The differences in base colours could be just sample variations. Now speaking of it, I missed my old one. Maybe I should make a trip over to Y934 when time permits.

Today i just bought a pc of female Blue Moon and will be getting a pc of male tomorrow.

And i have set up 2ft tank in a air-con room with black sand with a pc of sunken log for him to hide hope that when the male come thing will work out for both of them.

If breeding success will pass to some of you instead of you guys buying it.

Maybe you want to post a picture of your setup with the Blue Moon? It should be a nice tank, with the striking colours of the crayfish against the dark base of the sand. I believe the Blue Moon you are referring to is a Cherax sp.?

i went clementi today and saw 2 blue moon..both male and perfect..big too..no female or i would get a pair...where did u get the female? is there another female in stock? if yes i gonna get 1 and another 1 from clementi...

Ya that's the place i gotten the blue moon lar and now left with only 1 cos is in my tank.

I'm having a pair now will post picture next week show you guys
