Default Scared NGT

Its been a while since I've had a NGT, just picked up one a week ago. i have him in my tank with 3 Bads and one IT same size.
but this NGT seems to be too scared? doesnt come out to beg for food and sometimes i see him lying down maybe due to fear?
any tips on how to get him adjusted?

have not noticed this before in my other NGTs.
