To share. I connect sponge filter to my ehiem powerhead intake and link to stackable OHF. As long shrimplets are not affected by the intake of the pump, I feel it's ok. And ehiem doesn't generate much heat from what I see.

i think u shld let us know what exactly u r planning to keep, tank configuration (fully partitioned or bottom have gap) etc.
with these information, we can all discuss the pros and cons of sump vs canisters for such as setup. |

Plan downgraded liao..tot of doing 4ft partitioned tank,never tot of hving gaps below tho,hehe..getting 2ft tank and canister..but since u've mentioned it,is it possible tat the partitioned tank wif gap below,be used wif sump?juz curious..
