Please elaborate. Do you mean adding soil to a bare tank or adding more soil?

Did he tell you what is the purpose of the soil?
What kind of shrimps are you keeping? Soil is not a must but soils like ADA and GEX can have the properties of lowering the PH. |

I think adding soil to a mature tank is going to create hell to your shrimps.
Its going to cause ammonia spike, which your shrimp may die. I have once itchy hand stir up the soil when removing some dead plant, and those shrimps (especially CRS and tiger) start dying the next day. Does the LFS owner tell you why is it so? |
