I guess it would depend on the bioload of ur tank.

For me, I change 50pecent of water weekly for a high bioload tank which is around 100pcs of shrimp inside a 2ft tank. This amount of change can helped to reduce nitrate in tank.

Im not using any aged water, just direct tap water but have to make sure water conditoner used is able to get rid of water chloromaine.

but won't your water ph drop? or do you have some ways to buffer your water ph.

No bro, Chlorine and Chlorime are chemical dissolved in the water, normal filter can't trap them up. You will need to remove it by chemical methods.
Best is to add anti-chlorine or aged the water.
