Where To Find T5 NO tubes ?
I am currently using a Dymax 2ft T5 NO set. So far so good and quite happywith the lightings for my 2.5ft FOWLR setup. Due to the fact that this T5 set is using 2 tubes --> one blue and one white, I am considering to switch to both white tubes. Can someone pleaseenlighten me on where can I buy the T5 NO 2ft tubes ( I think its 10k, if can have 12k will be better ) and how much it will cost ?
Thanks. |

Bro me using 2ft Dymax T5, just bought white tube cost at $6. The light shop is opposite Sungei Rd, can't remember the shop name.
I'm using Osram bulb 12watt (white) unless you want to buy the branded "Aquas... Good Lighting for my 2ft paradise. |

Just bring your tube along and show them. But I believe the industrial T5 NO tubes are at most, only 6500K. YOu won't find 10K or 12K. Unless you buy back the original Dymax items.

Lim,
I believe you're a bit confused here. Colour temp. has got nothing to do with "brightness" - it's just what the colour appears to be, to our naked eyes. In actual fact, if you measured it, a 20W 6,500k tube will actually be brighter than a 20W 10,000K tube. Some people have used HO tubes on NO ballasts before, but I think it's not as bright as with a HO ballast. Quote:
