WTS (Selling) Hailea 300A Chiller (1/4 HP)

Hi all,

I would like to sell the following Hailea 300A chiller that I bought from another hobbyist when it was ~6 months old in mid-2009 and tested to be in good working/exterior condition. Manufacture date of the chiller is June 2008 (2.5yrs exactly), the date of purchase is probably a few months later.

Asking Price: $180 (including brand new external sensor).
Location: Clementi/West for self-collection at my home location.
Condition: 8/10 (minor scuff marks, screws with surface abrasion - no rust)

More details:
It was kept in storage when I shifted home and I collected it just last week with the intention to use in my upcoming 3'x1.5' setup. The chiller was tested with a large pail of freshwater and a 2028 filter as pump - cooling to 26 DegC.

I also bought a brand new external thermistor (sensor) 4 days back and paired it with the same connector so it can be plugged directly to the unit for much more accurate/precise measurement of the tank temperature - tested and working well with the full intention to use in my setup.

Reason for selling is because I've downsized my plans from 4ft to 3ft and just realised yesterday that the cabinet is going to be tight with all the equipment. I've gotten a Teco 1/5HP chiller today instead which has a smaller footprint and still sufficient for my tank volume.

Comes with brand new external sensor/thermister which can be placed in-sump/tank.

Display panel plastic film still intact and not peeled off.

Fins are very clean thanks to previous owner. They were in that condition like that since I collected the chiller - previous owner used for ~6 months.

Connector of the original in-built sensor which can be plugged out and replaced with the external sensor.

External sensor: FOX FS-200N (NTC) bought from Sim Lim Tower at ~$20, wired at one of the shops with the same connector.
