Usually bleheris display a wider range of behavior in a species-only planted tank where the tank is large enough to provide adequate swimming space and cover.
They are also solitary creatures so a rough guide would be about 4 bleheris in a 4ft tank (with the exclusion of bottom dwellers) max in order to let them feel comfortable. They should stop hiding after that and display brighter colours.

thanks for the advise. i have a 2ft tank with a channa pulchra and bleheri in it, is it big enough? made a cave out of wood chunks for them, they seem to like it but still shy. sorry for my amateur questions, i want to learn more about them through experienced owners.
