Introduction
Dear all
To make Arofanatics more interesting, we are working on organizing some events so that we can all get to meet more often and get to know each other better (the real person, not virtual) and share experiences and knowledge. Events such as farm trips (local and overseas), competitions, seminars and chill-out sessions are currently being worked on. Of course, we are going to need some funds to do all these and thus, some of the ways we are hoping to generate funds will be through; • Group Buys – savings to hobbyists is possible due to economy of scale. In addition, suppliers are also willing to contribute a percentage of sales to our “Events Fund”. • Auctions – the amount above the agreed cost price with the supplier will be channeled to the “Events Fund” • Contributions from suppliers – this may be $, products and/or services. • Sales of AF memorabilia These events will be for everybody – both hobbyists and commercial parties. Therefore, if you have any thoughts and suggestions, please post for discussion. D24
