Bro fireblade, do you mean BBS "cannot" be hatch in tanks? If I remember right, it can be hatch in tanks with reasonable table salt water ( need not be the same salinity as sea water but should not be too little too and free of iodine ). The BBS will hatch in 24-36 hours with continuous aeration. The largest size I kept can get to 3mm. Here is a link below of a SG bro with his successful breeding of BBS.
