Default Ada soil

Hi bros,

was wondering how long it takes for the tank with ada amazonia soil to have 0 readings for ammonia, nitrite and nitrates.

I know it only takes about a week for ammonia and nitrites to be 0 but nitrates will still be relatively high.

I was wondering, for people with no biohome or plants, how does the tank convert the nitrates?

Thanks.
