Default can marine fish be converted?

Pl advse if anyone ever successfully keep a marine converted to fresh water fish b4.

Eg : panter grouper, bumble bee grouper, eel etc.

Saw some lfs selling, wonder can they survive in long term?

I know scat, archer, monos r some common blackish water fish, but r the bumble bee able to thrive in fresh water as well ?

Pl show and tell us how long u have kept them in fresh water if u have.
