Firstly, do not treat shrimp keeping the same as fish keeping. I saw your last post abv, talking about water change for your current tank (fishes).

For shrimps, if you have established a good system, water change can be kept to a minimal. I am doing no more than 10% wc. I may reduce that further.

If you have not done a readup in e sticky, do so, as it contains a lot of questoins for new shrimp hobbyist.
