Normally these high fin ff are commonly seen at less than 10inch, seldom see bigger ff with high fin. Perhaps hard for tank Mates to resist a chew .

Nice high fin and colouration on tail. I just bought my ff4", less than a week ago, can see tail slowly turning orange red.. When you bought yours how long did it take till the bright orange red appeared visibly on its tail?
