Sump return pipe advise needed

Hi all,
I am in the progress of setting up a 2ft cube.
Thinking of making the return pipe split to 2 outlet by using a T joint.
Is it advisable to do it this way.
Or normally how do you guys split the outlet flow pipe to 2?

What is the best way to reduce the pump head loss.
Please advise. Thanks!!

By doing with a T-joint, you will definitely need a bigger pump to compensate for the increase the head-loss.

I am using a eheim 1262 for this setup.
Hope can compensate the head-loss then.

eheim 1262 should be sufficiently powerful more maybe still too strong for your 2ft cube tank.

Previously had my 522 sump tank and connected to 3 outlets using Ts....still powerful enough. Hope it's not too powerful for your case.

i am using OR6500, T off to skimmer and top T again to 2 outlet
the flow rate is acceptable only

i will prefer 1264 and do 1 more T to equipments like FR, skimmer or chiller

I think 1262 mayb be too powerful with just 1 T off to 2 outlets, mayb u can consider one more T in the sump to flow back to 1st chamber or to some other device but fitted with control valve just in case....

I am using a T-joint now with 2 outlets.
Now having trouble with micro-bubble even test run with freshwater
Main cause due to the sump too small as the cabinet constrain.
I am using toyogo bin as the sump. Still figuring now how to solve the problem.

imo you're fine with the pump size. 900g [at 0 head], on a 60g tank, is only 15x turnover. quite healthy actually.
if you want to reduce loss through right angled elbows and tees, go for Y and obtuse-angle elbow fittings.

Thanks for ur advise, initially i am looking for a Y joint instead if Tee.
But i cannot find any Y joint. Anyway i am using 45 degree joint on my outlet.

The flow now is just nice. Thinking of adding another wavemaker to increase the flow cause the tank bottom seems to have some stagnant spot.

Micro-bubble problem also solved now. Adding a 3 layer baffle, jap mat and 5kg of biohome plus. Now hunting for some nice live rocks to kick start the cycling.
