I only use Mosura Mineral Plus and Old Sea Mud (also Proper pH6.5) and use it in propotion to the recommendation, at every WC.

Thanks guys. I think I will stick to each water change to add the additive.

I am a new in CRS and shrimp and I am really confuse with water change. Some says only top up but others says weekly. So when exactly should a WC be made?

If you only do top up, your tank will end up being like the DEAD Sea. One day, all the toxin in the tank will make ur tank as good as dead sea.

Dead sea works this way, evaporation lowers the water level thus 'top up' of sea water, flows into Dead sea (one way). That means, sea water from outside flows into Dead Sea, making the sea saltier by the day, till no marine life can exist.

Yes, I believe there must be WC in order to provide some fresh "air" into the environment. I experienced that CRS does react to each WC (<25%) and some time result in casualty. Question is how often? Weekly? Bi-weekly, Monthly?

I believe most of us do 10% wc weekly. For me, sometimes i do 10% twice weekly (when I need to syphon my quartz base), or below 20%. Age your water, add in some anti-chlorine.

I used the mosura mineral plus after each weekly water change to maintain the kH and gH.
