It doesn't matter how many fans you use. A good cooling fan will reduce the water temp by 1-3 dgrees C.

If you want a more stable temperature, consider going for a chiller.

i would definitely go for a chiller but my father would'nt allow such a high watt appliance....have no choice but to get cooling fan instead...

how about make one yourself?

http://www.petfrd.com/forum/articles...rticle&artid=6

i'm toying with that idea now. i think i might do it, but maybe use a better 92mm fan or even a 120mm fan and then angled at 45 deg... but then i think a single fan set up getting from LFS will be cheaper and less troublesome :P

reason for bigger sized fans is for the higher airflow with less noise. not to mention will cover more surface area...

i think for a small time hobby, having a chiller too expensive ah. initial cost may be not high to some people, but i think the real killer are the hefty utilities bills (not to mention incessant nags by OC and parents) long run..

those are actually blowers... my experience with theis specific type of blowers in the past from DIY PC hardware is that they're not strong enough.

there is another kind of blower that looks somewhat like a snail. an example of a real life application are those blowers they use in toilets after mopping that are commonly seen in the toilets of MRT stations.

those blowers are more powerful but unfortunately much noisier.. computer fans should be much better in both performance and cost-effectiveness.. whatever is written on the box is probably sales puffery.

but of course i do not have first hand experience with the blower you are thinking of buying, so i may not be right at all. the above is just my opinion and past experience with dealing in PC hardware
