BTW, i knock off at 12mn and went to polyart to get some tiger and yamato for the puffers as no more tubiflex nor GS at this time.
Anyone knows where to get puffer food after 10pm ? |

Yo guys,
its so nice to see the puffer thread :P i myself have 1 ceylon and 1 gsp.. and already have a 421.5 ready for a fahaka... man the fahakas are way cute... o btw coral sand is different from those fine grade sand right? will it get sucked up by a canister filter for example? Eddie |

there are different grades of coral sand.. those 2-3mm type will be enough imo..
place ur canister filter inlet further away from the sand will help reduce the chance of being sucked in.. |

Any bro can advise me on the feeding of the RE ? I got a few ramshoorn snails, abalone snails ($2.50 from polyart*), clam snails (from polyart*), bumblee snails, 8 tiger shrimps and 2 yamato (bought from polyart last night*). CF fed or kept the RE with small black fishes.... should I add some small fishes too...I got some baby guppies from my other tank....still transparent about 5mm long. |

imo.. listing of price n LFS name can be quite sensitive... so..better to leave it out in this freshwater section.
also, most info on feeding can be found in that pufferpedia (which I presume u r a regular visitor of that site...right? ) lastly, those fishes/shrimps/snails that u mentioned in the past few or earlier posts .. personally I felt that they aren't meant to be used as food for puffer.. e.g. yamato (most hobbyists use them for algae cleaning..) However, I'm in no way of stopping u from feeding them to ur puffer.. just voicing out my opinion.. btw..with regards to feeding of RE.. I would choose MP / bloodworm/ ghost shrimp.. Cheers n do practise selective quoting..thks! |

Thanks for the advise....I'll refrain from posting shop prices unless specifically asked. But is it alright to post if shops are selling as most puffers other than GP, GSP, ceylon Puffers and DP are almost never found. I spent over $100 and hours travelling to many shops before finding the RE or any other puffers for that matter.
But my place or even at most shops they sell GS at $2 packs that have like many pieces, maybe even 30-50. My oscars take like 2 weeks to finish them but most die within 5 days or so... I would not mind giving excess GS to any bros staying nearby as I would only need about 10....until they are all gone... BTW any bros here know how to grow brine shrimps ? Planted tank hard to pick out the dead ones.... For mealworms...do u cut them as they are almost 1" long ? Do they last or swim ? For bloodworms...are those the frozen ones in packs like 12 or 16 sections in one pack ? |
