Default Shrimps tank and fan

I'm using a fan for my 1ft tank now. Wanted to check with you guys if it's possible to keep the fan on 24/7, afraid it'll cause a fire or something (running all the time). Was thinking of getting another one to be a backup.

Any ideas?

Well, the temp in my living rm appears to be ard 28 - 30 deg, somehow. So when the temp's that high, my shrimps don't do really well. When the fan is on, it drops to abt 26 or so.

I never thought about this. I keep my fans on 24/7. Turn off only when I changing water and need the room on top to move around. Maybe I'll turn off my fans tonight and see what happens to the temp.

Great, but will the fan 'burn out' if you leave it on half the day everyday?

When I woke up this morning at 9+, the temp in my tank was 25+ degrees. When I turned the fans off the night it was 23+.

I think no matter what, the temp will always be lower if the fans are on. But I guess it's alright to turn the fans off at night if it's cool, like the last few days. I'll probably still keep them on if it's a hot night.

The fans will probably last a reasonable amount of time even if we leave them on 24/7. If they spoil, just buy new ones to replace. Might be harder if you're using those ready-made ones from the LFS. I build my fan set myself using a guide at petfrd. If the fans die on me, I can easily replace them.
