Default Industrial grade timer

After few breakdown on those $10+ timer, decided to spend $$$ to build my own using indutrial grade timer. Initially thinking of using Omron 4 output (expandable) programmable timer but changing idea to use 4 individual timer instead as 1st project.

You can refer to my gallery for pictures. each timer cost around $80. Looking for peace of mind so....

The timer will have 28 program each. so you can set it to have diff ON/OFF by day. Say if you like more on time for MH during weekend, you can do so.

The idea for 4 timer is to control the followings:
- Artinic T5
- 20K White T5
- MH
- Moonlight

Will post more picture one I connacted with power cable and adapter. plan to use computer powercord for easy connection.

Anyone keen to do the same?? Warn you that it cost few hundred if you go more than timer. but the beauty is you can start with one timer and add on. the current housing can hold upto 5 timer if needed.

more to come...

looks great! so, u going to mount it outside of the cabinet?
but $80 for each timer is on the high side....do u think consumer grade digital timer will be reliable too?

I know many are using the consumer timer which was using too but realize some failure. so to hv peace of mind and flexibility of program, trying the industrial version now.

For mouting, it all depand on where you have space. if the cabinet have good spacing, hide it also ok. else, showing off the LCD screen timer also a coool thing!!

Yup, that should be and agian it is still home consumer model. Like to go for Industrial version instead. the other reason also trying to arrange it to have a proper housing and cut out those odd shape timer.

Pay more (alot more in this case) for a nice and should be peace of mind gadget. You should see the programing flexibity!!

BTW, the timer also comes with Calendar!! In fact, it is all your choice of industrial timer. You also can opt for a diff version of timer and still can fit in the same boz as that are industrial design.

What I'm trying here is just a sample on what can be done, it is all up to you creativity liao... Choice of timer, choice of nicer housing, choice of connecting cables... you can even make it color full by adding some flashing LEDs..

Good luck..

Another nice and "cheaper" 4 output timer you might want to consider if you want to DIY one:

cost around $200, I believe this can fits to the same housing as well. this one is good for those who like to try computer linked programing..
