How to control planaria in CRS tank?
Hi any brothers or sisters who can share some opinions?
I wouldn't say I have a lot of planaria in my tank, but it seems they are multiplying. I just caught one white long worm.. it does not move but got a lot of planaria around it. I think it may be the planaria mom. Thanks! |

pls try not to add in chemicals. I tried once and I think it wiped out 70% of my shrimps.

Most anti planaria/worm chemicals target invertebrates ie shrimps... Best not to use them, esp for sensitive shrimps like CRS....
While some smaller fish may help, I'd rather not risk my shrimps cos there's no guarantee they won't attack shrimplets. I still prefer the manual removal method - its not 100% but I'd rather have a tank of live CRS and some planaria, compared to a planaria-free tank and dead CRS |
