I have a stupid / naive question.

Are there chances for 2 lower grade CRS to produce higher grade shrimplets, given the right temperature and good water condition?

Also, using for choosing tank, will thick glass tank be better or thin glass tank better?

if you are talking about just 1 generation. i would say no.
you might need to in line selective breed them for a few generation to see your crs genes improve..

So meaning to say for example, if I get 2 grade B CRS to breed, providing good temperature and water condition, after a few generation of producing, the grade of the CRS can reach to S and higher?

possible technically, pointless aesthetically. the amount of effort, time spent and money wasted into the electricity bills getting the 2 grade B to the future descendents of S is far much more then going to the shop and buying S directly.

breeders do selective breeding to determine specific traits of the future generation of crs they wish to have. more white? bigger maro on head? etc etc. good water temp and condition are just the the fundamentals of KEEPING crs.

Also, for keeping of CRS with chiller, a thicker glass tank is better or the thinner glass tank is better?

i have heard of using thicker glass tank help maintain the coldness of the tank longer... so the chiller wont have to kick in more often when used a thiner glass tank.
you can also use those foam board and cover 3 side of your tank.

Oh really? Can anymore people confirm this fact? Thicker glass tank for keeping CRS with chiller is a better choice compare to thin glass tank?

It should be correct as when I was working in Shanghai normally people would install thicker glass for their windows (Mine was double layered)... One is to prevent the cold from coming & the other is to prevent losing heat...

So based on this theory thicker glass would be better to keep the cold in & keep the heat out but...

Normally the thicker glass is meant for bigger tanks & smaller tanks uses thinner glass... This is meant more for strength to hold the volume of water...

But Tank Makers like ADA make their tanks from relatively thinner glass than for a tank that is locally made... Hope this helps...
