Any bros keep ITs in clear tank?
Just wish to check any bros keep ITs in clear tank and they are still stable?
I'm asking as any ITs I try to keep in my (white background but clear side with no oyama pasted) clear tank is mostly unstable... I bought and sell and give away ITs (previously) are all not stable the moment it enter my tank.....when I sell/trade/give away FOC, the new owners all told me they became stable in their tank and even whatsapp me the pics (heartpain ) I recently bought a 3bar (not clean 3-bar though) IT about 9" in size. It was stable in previous owner's tank. It was unstable in my tank when lights are on (black patches appear on body) but when I off the lights, it became more stable, at least can see the 3 stripes. This is so far the best IT I have in this clear tank of mine. My previous 622 tank with blue oyama have no problem as all my ITs there are super stable. I will try to post pics if I manage to take a pic tonight. So for bros who are keeping ITs in clear tank, any experience to share? IT sifus please feel free to comment. Thank you |

I have seen ITs being stable in Blue/Black/White/Clear tanks. My ex IT was 24/7 stable in my 4side black tank.
Stability depends on a range of factors, i guess u gotta keep searching for the right one for your setup? Just my own personal opinion |

Bro, i am not expert but you can try the following:
1) Turn on your tank lights 24/7 for a few days to let the IT get used to having lights on. 2) Do you have bigger tank mates inside your tank? Maybe your IT is "frightened" by them. 3) Do more regular WC and maintain good water parameters. 4) You may wish to introduce another IT inside your tank. Sometimes with another for company they become more stable. 5) Has your IT started feeding? Most ITs will be stable after feeding. I have never kept IT in clear tank before so unable to give advice on that. Hope the above helps you in one way or another. |

I'm currently keeping my IT's in a clear tank. They varies from 7" to 16", so far 80% of them are 24/7 stable and the rest semi-stable. Just need to maintain good water quality. You may also want to consider switching on the light at night.
