Default white worms nematodes in shrimp tank

Hi all,

After coming back from a short overseas trip, i was horrified to see 3-4 pieces of shrimp food in my tank. Thanks to my niece.. my tank is now invested by this worms wiggling in the water and into the gravel.

There is another kind of species that looks more like a planaria but very tiny and short. too small to use any planaria traps (checked on internet)

one of the worms looks like this..

what can i do now...
anybody can advice?

Use an air tube to siphon them out. In addition, remove your filter wools and wash them thoroughly or replace them. If you have a gravel cleaner, vacuum your gravel to remove leftover foods. Can do some water changes. eventually should go away. Those worms are not harmful, just unsightly.

Any possibility of introducing fish which eat those worms?

I bought a bottle of this worm killer thingy from LFS as I sometimes over feed my shrimps too. Pretty effective, but I don't think it does the shrimp much good as some of them started to die off one after another.

Recently I introduced 2 pieces of tetra into the tank and it seems to help rid that problem. But I'm not too sure if the tetras would eat the shrimlets. Maybe some bros here could share if it's ok to have tetras in the tank??

as long as you have some plants and driftwood the shrimplets will know what to do, don't worry. I had 25 shrimps and 40 tetras. now i have probably more than 50 shrimplets after a month.

I cant see youtube video now. Are they white worms that stay in or on soil and sometime wiggle in water (they dun go to tank wall) ? If yes, these are harmless and they can from plant or soil.
