My low-tech shrimp tank
A bit history in the past ...
Try to setup a shrimp tank few year back in my office using the IQ3 ... because that time the IQ3 launch at Aquarama so plan to give it a try ... without much study just follow lfs instruction ... so end up disaster ... also another issue is the temp can be stable when keep the tank in the office ... after all shrimp died decom the whole tank that it ... all the while I been keeping reef tank ... one day one of my tank the fish just die one by one ... and in the same time been reading about crs keeping in this forum and other forum ... therefore take this chance to decom my reef tank and transfer all the existing coral to another tank ... use that tank to setup a low tech shrimp tank ... still got a long ways to go ... and hope to learn from all the master here my tank size - 3ft x 1.5ft x 1.5ft with 8inch IOS soil - borneowild shrimp soil and mosura soil additive - based layer mosura old sea mud, borneowild bebi and minerax plant - mostly moss cycle with BT-9 for 6weeks using fan to cool this tank (as the tank is in my room the temp is keep at 23-26) plan to keep FR, golden and some rili shrimp ... didn't plan to keep crs yet ... |
