Default Which Fan is quiet?

I am looking for those fan hanging beside the tank...

currently using Dymax but the noise is really loud. I tried lowering the voltage but fan became not very efficient.

anyone else have tried other brands? saw GEX in seaview. dunno if it is quiet

I tried Dynamx and Gex. The Gex is much quieter than the Dynamx. U can always ask the shop to test the fan for u and try to listen to the sound level.

the gex S sized fan would be good for you then, but do becareful about the evaporation rate. had use gex S sized before too, pretty decent but price wise not very nice.

there is a brand in C328 that lines up in 4 or 6 pC fans with an adaptor. ultra quiet and full plastic construct. lots of water splash on mine and no eltrocutiona nd works like a charm. ultra quiet

Im using dymax largest and smallest. Haha. They are noisy... But my water movement sound is louder than that. saw others using PC fans, can try looking into it.

For your tank size, would definitely second others' suggestion of a Gex fan. I'm using one personally for a tank in my bedroom and I can't hear the fan operating at all

I had changed from Dymax to Gex and now to Mr Aqua.

Dymax is super noisy but the price is cheap.

I used a Gex (S). The fan is very quiet at the beginning but after 4-5 months, you will notice a slight noise but not too bad. You will need to clean the gazette filter as it will accumulate dirt there. Power wise is not very strong though and will be good for 1 feet tank. Shape/design wise, the GEX is super nice and elegance.

I upgraded to a 2 feet tank recently and now using the Mr Aqua Turbo Fan. Very quiet and powerful. It cools the water to about 27C (w 24 hours running) but you will have to deal with the water top up every few days. The design is bulky and you will need some space (likely not enough space for a 1 feet tank) to mount the device.

Happy shrimping...
