my pal here beside me also into fish rearing said he has seen this before and they use magnet? dont know the tetails though. poor goldfish.

They probably just forced a really tiny yet powerful magnet down the fishes' throat. Simple cruel, fish for the sake of entertainment. What's more, the show's not even entertaining.
