Default Is there a possibility???

Hey guys.......

Is there a possibility for 100% CRS/BDS shrimp-lets survival after hatch??? Or there will always be some death even with the correct water parameter???

Does those famous expert breeder from Taiwan or Japan lost some shrimplets after hatch too???

What is the reason for the death even when the water parameter is right???

im sure there will be some death occured by unknown reasons.. even if the water parameters are right.. or even if you are experts in shrimp keeping.. shrimplets might have molting problems during its first molt.. and many more problems that we newbies dont know! all we can do is to give them the best enviroment to grow and hope they survive!

If the shrimplets managed to grow beyond o.8cm in length then most likely the young shrimp will be able to reach adult after that. In between this period you may experience shrimplets death, reason may be initial molting stage which they have to overcome.

I started this thread reason due to seeing a shrimplet sudden kicking n flipping....seems like the shrimplet is trying to molt the shell but unsuccessful and collasped.

One more is... Is the survival rate higher for those normal grade shrimplets comparing those Mosura shrimplets???

I do witness once when the shrimplets try to kick from it's shell during molting. Happen that an adult shrimp passes by and my shrimplets got eaten up.

From my experience, high grade and normal grade shrimplets survival rate is approximately the same.

seen it a few time in my own tank.. shrimplet just keep kicking but cant molt.. they just die of exhaustion.. dont think there's much difference in deaths on different grades if its all coming from the same tank of high grades! but if you keep breeding in the same gene pool aka inbreeding ( only happen when you dont introduce new shrimp) the quality of the shrimp will be better but they will become more sensitive
