Default Setting 4ft CRS Tank

Hi Guys,

Been playing with CRS for a month or 2 and is now setting up a 4ft tank to play with aqua scaping and breeding
Will be setting up the tank to be able to view from both side as i'm placing it as a dvider between the dinning room and living room

Will be using 3packet of red been soil and old sea mud powder during setup
The tank will be hook up with a chiller to maintain the temp at 24degree

Plan to place 2 big blog wood and x'mas moss, flame moss and nana in it
Will only stock up CRS after 2 to 3 week

Please kindly offer me advice as i'm very new to setting CRS
Should i use under gravel filter?

Thanks All for all the information provided in this forum and also thanks all in Advance for all the advice that's going to be offer to me

Hi,

If it's a standard 4ft size tank it'll be huge. Have to take into account your chiller size as well as the pump that goes with it. You could run an undergravel filter but a sump/canister IMO would be better as you can use different media to control the water parameters.

I've set up a 4x1 ft tank a few months back too you can check out my post on AQ perhaps that'll help you generate more questions to aid you in making a more concrete plan.

First of all, welcome to the poison of CRS.

If you plan to have rooted plants in the gravel, underground filter will be out.

Good luck.
