Yup. One for Mechanical (smaller canister filter) and the other for Biological.

I am using such setup also, only the second canister is powered, the first act as dumpy... not a problem. The first canister (mechcanic filter) has it impellor removed.

Oh, will there be any problem if I powered 2 canister filters? One is 500L/hr while the other is 600L/hr.

If can't, I will plan to power the Biological Filter as it has bigger flowrate and sort of in the middle of the circuit.

I suppose it will work the same if you power both, 600L/hr water circulation for this tank. Yap the insulation is pretty.

What are you putting for the mech filter? Is it only wool and sponge?
