setup another tank 2weeks ago to start the cycling first.did a test result also. Result; kh 4-6 gh 3-4 Ph 6.3 no 2 n no3 cant remember but its ok ammonia 0 Lights are on 8hrs a day thinking no prob i put in my snails to test the water, but in the end they still at the top of the water? Any1 got encounter this prob? The last time i had this prob with my old tank i think oxygen not enough, but i use a air pump than the prob ceased liao this time round i also did the same ting but the snails still remains at the top |

What shrimps are you keeping?
What is the dimension of your tank?(for both tanks) What filter are you using? (for both tanks) Did you use aged water? Was your tank properly cycled? Need to ensure that Ammonia and Nitrite is 0 and some readings on Nitrate. What soil are you using? (for both tanks) |

dun use it. i have it. It does kill the worms.. but then after tt u got the problem of fishing dead shrimplets and worms out. some time the worms die inside the soil.. and seems like the shrimps are hyper sensitive to it.
I actually dun think so badly of the worms.. they actally do help abit in the balance of the ecosystem... they eat left over food and dead shrimps. other than being ugly, i actually think they're pretty okie. |

BUT... seems like under closer observation, i did notice some dead shrimplets. Shortly after the tank cracked, i noticed something worse... there were dead worms inside the soil that i would never have seen unless i was recomming my tank. hmmm maybe its better to leave them alone or siphone them out. |
