Default Soft Shell Turtle

Thought only one type of tortise is sellable in Singapore until i saw this in newspaper.

I think this is sold for makan one right? to make turtle soup type...saw them selling in seng shiong b4...but have to becareful....they bite.

i think there is a difference between those sold for ornamental (pet) industry and for food..

Soft shell turtles are illegal to be sold as pets and illegal to keep
But they are very legal to be sold as a food item

Dun think they make great pets too..they bite and grow too big for any normal holding area..unless you have a big fibre tank...

but most cases, these buggers will outlived you..then ur next generation will have headache how to let go at such a size.

i'd agree they don't make good pets. they are pretty cute when they are young, but a monster when adult.

and they have pretty strong bites.

the next generation can eat it.
