Unhappy Nightmare, help needed badly~!!

Dear all,

Sorry for the long story i have to say, hope to get some help.. here we go...

It is our first time keeping pet shrimp.

Have bought a 1.5ft tank, equipped with HOF, Bio, GEX soils, some rocks and mosses. Recycled a few days before adding the cherry shrimps.
They lived happily there, very active(even when not feeding) and dont hide much. Then they started to breed more and more =)

Due to my negligent, i bought 2 plant from a LFS and placed it into the tank.. everything seem fine, until 1 fine day, we decided to trim the plant (grow kinda "long"). we saw funny looking creature attached to the plant... then we realise it is the Damselfly nymph that we read in this forum!!!!
So we crush and scoop everytime we saw them.. but it just seem so many hiding in the tank..

And then, worst... mosquito larves start to appear on top of the water(but i thought mosquito larves only appear on still water???).. have to kill them and clear the larves skin everyday!!!

Then my nightmare began... i bought 2 medication, 1 to kill white worm larve & 1 to kill blood worm larve (was hoping both medi can solve the 2 problems)..
MY STUPIDITY.... i overdosed(very much overdose).... almost all the baby shrimplet(abt 60 of them) died over a night... luckily all my adults still alive...

Have changed the water (almost everyday), trying to save what ever is left... and few days later, the shrimps seem to look fine again..
I went to the LFS and bought 2 new plants again.. this time, i soaked it in water (got changed water) for few days before adding it into the tank.

Just few hours after adding, the shrimps start to swim very actively around, turning and swimming on its back.. something really seem so weird when they swim.... then suddenly over the night, they start to hide at a corner (ALL!!!)..

Quickly we went to purchase the perimeter test kit.. PH is 6.4, ammonia is 0, nitrate is 20g and copper is 0... dunno y, all the shrimps is still hiding, they now seldom eat and all the pregnant mamas had miscarriage...

we went to NA, uncle told us the water is bad, something in the water have caused them to behave like that.. so he told us that need to change some water everyday and also introduced us a bag of "sand like" thing to put it in the filter. he say is to help clean the water..

The 1st day we placed the "sand like" thing, some of the shrimps start to swim out and also to eat.. but 2 days later, they went back to hide... now all of them are hiding under the net of the mosses...

Yesterday found 3 dead shrimps, today found 1... so i went back to NA and bought the "sand like" thing to change... hope it can help to save them...

Anyone can highlight me what can be the caused? it is becos the overdosage medicine is still exist in the water? anyway to test it?

for mi i dun age my water.. i jus use the anti-chlorine solution and wait for another 5minutes den add it into my tank... as for bacteria some of us call it BB aka beneficial bacteria...
for mi i use seachem prime for anti-chlorine, it removes chlorine, chloramine, and ammonia, detoxifies nitrite & nitrate...
for my BB it is a special "Denitrification" bacteria that convert toxic ammonia and nitrite to harmless gas. Also suppress growth of pathogenic bacteria thus preventing them from bacterial infectional...
hope tis gives u a better idea...
from wad i know is tt nowadays our water they dun jus use chlorine, they use some other chemical stronger than chlorine, and it cant be broken down by aging

u can try the anti chlorine porduct name easy neo .
my feed back to it is very good
other than anti chlorine,it removes and makes fishes/shrimp less tense and add BB toyour tank
what i can suggest is pass your shrimp to a friend who has a stable tank and do a 100% water change and recycle if you cant find the problem.
rather than watching them suffer , why dont just go through the hassle of restarting your tank and make sure none dies.
it will be worth the effort .they are all lives
just my sincere comment.
