Default how long?

hi i nid to ask this as my giant CPO just molted...how long does it take for the shell to become hard??? i currently seperated it from the rest to prevent any damage or casualty..so how long does it take...thks bro/sis

lol no bro....my orange crayfish is about 4 inches from pincers to tail...then it looks like a cpo....so i self proclaim its a giant cpo

Hahaha, in the first place, it's not a CPO. Should be Neon Orange Crayfish. But since your already stated that you proclaim, then okie.

If you have lots of hidding places in your tank, you need not specially remove it from the tank. Moving the crayfish after it moult would stress it too.

Usually from what I noticed, around 3 days and more, it's shell should be hard enough to protect itself. Have to depend on the diet you provide to your crayfish.

What the size and any pics?

My largest CPO is just 4cm, rear it for a year or so.

Mine once molt twice withn two week. Yup first two days of molting will gone hiding. maybe after third day they feel harder then come out.
