ID this insect
there have been deaths occurring every other day in my shrimp tank and last night spotted this insect hiding in my 1.5ft shrimp tank. No choice got to decom the whole tank to seek it out...
Any one came across this insect before, and will it harm shrimps?? It looks like a cockcoach...maybe aquatic version of it? |

looks more like dragonfly nymph but from top view down, the body is rounder as compared to the pic(posted by luigi), also the hind legs are longer....from side view (the first pic i attached), the head part and front legs looks a bit like praying mantis...
realised also that its probably good not to make the tank too dense with vegetation, especially small shrimp tank... Last edited by wei; 19-04-2008 at 12:31 PM. |
