Seems like oil on the water surface
Is it harmful to the shrimps in the tank? Any idea how to get rid of them?

stale water
Oil on surface is most of the time caused by excess protein. If you have a protein skimmer, it should clear the oil. A cheaper alternative is to have water movement on the surface. Like directing the water output to the surface or just have a air pump.
Try it and let us know.. |

Use a clean kitchen towel (thick tissue) and let the paper absorbs the oil.
