Default Help with snail bloom

I currently need some info on how to get rid of the snails that are multiplying like crazy in my 2ft tank. I had been manually removing about 50-60 of them everyday but they are increasing at crazy rate. Anyone knows how to remedy this??

Another one....multiplying like crazy.....

Many bros, including myself, will want ur snails bro.

I think safest way is to manually remove them, or introduce a small puffer, like the dwarf or red eye puffer to eat them...numbers will reduce significantly.

Is it good to have snails in planted tank? I have so many of them.. hundreds n hundreds.. i'm not sure of the spieces, but their shells are circular, and biggest i seen is only 2-3mm. They really look irritating in the tank~

Could be ramshorns....in ur 2ft tank, got any fishes bro? Any plants?

I strongly suggest putting a puffer in there......if got many fishes, u might wan to temporarily house the fishes somewhere else, and let the puffer do its job till most of the snails are gone.....snails are bad for planted tanks of course....dun worry bro...not too big a problem.

Ya.. abt 50+ tetras and 3 ottos.. quite heavily planted.. how big is the puffer? It will eat up my tetras too right? Will it affect the arrangement of the plants?

tink one or two dwarf puffers will do fine...

can remove them once the snail population is controlled..

hmm.. no 100% way to remove them completely unless you use medications like snailrid. but its harmful to invertebrates too. do you have small shrimps in there? if its not a shrimp breeding tank, introduce a few dwarf puffers in. once the snails are gone, wait for a week or 2 more and then remove the puffers. this is to ensure those small tiny snails that we cant see gets eaten too. hope this helps
