Default basic question - Stand for tank

Hi all,

Got a very dumb question to ask...
Notice that a lot of the reefer's tank r supported by those wooden stand instead of those cheaper metal racks. Is it becoz the metal will corrode very quickly?

of course my bro, salt water will eat the metal.

GEt better wood liek chengal if u can afford they last longer

yar i also think the wooden stand r nicer.... but the r a bit ex leh!
Any bros here use metal stand?....

I'm using galvanised mild steel stand .. DIY style!
