Default Preparation for CRS tank

Just setup a tank specially for CRS. Using Gex(red) and HOF. Temperature measured at 26 with no fan. will let in a chiller or fan soon.

Is it ok if there is not air pump connected to this tank as the water from HOF will cause some bubbles? is that sufficient in norm pratice?

This is a photo of my setup. Welcome comments.

check those rocks if they will increase pH , not good if they were to increase yr pH as CRS require slight acidic water

Add-in more plants will be good for NH3/NH4 absorption.

For CRS best to add in some moss for them to nimble on.... those big leave plant that are in your tank are those without roots right? correct me if I am wrong, this plant don't really thrive in your tank imo and it will start to rot after sometime which will cause some problem for your CRS.

Dear all,

Thanks for the inputs.

The tank is still in a cycling process now. I will monitor on the PH. as for the plant, i dont think it wil grow roots. so far in my other fish tank i dont see any. will take note on the rotting part. I will add in moss when the cycling process about to end.

so far its only day 2 of cycling.
