Strange white worms

i found some strange white worms while snooping around my fish tank. any idea what these are? also found white specks on the interior of my fish tank cover/hood.

also: RIP to my albino bronze cory and sterbai cory

the albino cory seems to have died for no reason while i'm not sure if i accidentally killed my sterbai cory by my clumsiness

pics here. anyone knows what these worms are? will they harm my fish?

the worms were found on this glass pane supporting my tank lights. unknown white specks were found on the tank hood/cover.

Not really sure what's these worms/larve, but it's presence might signals that wq not good. Try to check if any uneaten food/waste, are stuck along/around your whole filtration system, this would greatly helps to degrade your wq.

my filter is an internal filter. but you might have a point. looks like time for water change soon for me....

could be coz my tetras aren't very good eaters. they sometimes can be blind to the food, so the food can float right past them and they still act blur... lol.

looks quite like it, most probably is. snooped around the internet and found out that they aren't harmful, but just plain irritating to see. i wonder why i never had this problem b4.....

no intention on spamming, but how do i get rid of these buggers? would a water change and filter wash do the trick? or need to do more too?

according to this AF thread on a similar topic: http://www.arofanatics.com/forums/sh...lanaria&page=2 , one guy says that tetras and corys (what i keep in my tank) are the best ways to get rid of these guys. is this true?

for now my tank has no trace of the planaria worms (other than at the light hood area). will follow advice on controlling feedings. can't water change so soon as not free

well looks kinda like planaria but i wouldnt be so sure of that. for a few reasons being 1 dead fish for no reason and a possible second. also are these worms submerged or on the glass to the lights and hoods that is out of the water pluls they look a little big.

ok so dead fish for no reason is a big thing. how old was this fish and was he eating. most fish dont just die for no reason especially with an appearance of something new that has you worried. i would wc and wc some more. clean off the pane that they are on, and also clean your substrate very good. then when that is done go through your filters and get the bad stuff out. wait a couple days and do it again. also watch how much you are feeding if they dont eat it then net it out. this should clear up your tank of anything bad and if it is planaria then this also clears that up. so keep a close eye on your tank and im sorry about your losses
