Hi'All bro/sis
has any one try uv light on shrimp tank?

uv light is to kill bacteria
i mean that the tank is bacteria free.

I'm using one. Mainly to get rid of green water. No problems.

But mine's a cheaper, lousy one. So it took a while before I saw the difference for my green water problem. It hasn't completely gone away, neither.

hmm. i know UV light is to kill bacteria.. but will it be too strong for shrimps? ..haha.. it's usually use for marine

I saw is setup at one of the LFS and the ower tell me about this
if i put a uv light to kill bacteria in the shrimp tank will the shrimp die ?
cos thinking of geting one

Shrimps won't die. They won't even get in contact with the UV light (in theory).
