Default Yamato disappeared???

i used to have 9 yamato and they work very hard and kept my tank clean but after introducing 4 congo Tetra i can only see 2 and the rest AWOL man. Does congo tetra eat the Yamato or does Hatcher fish? sigh... hope to find them so.... there is lots of work to be done in the tank. should i get some more of them?

They might be hiding among the flora because of the prescence of the fishes swimming around.

Rule of thumb, if it fits into the mouth it can be eaten.

But given the size of yamato shrimps not much fishes that we put in planted tanks (like tetras, rasboras, etc) will disturb them.

most probably is hiding...

or it might have passed on due to unfavourable water conditions or poor acclimatising...

.... and congo tetras are also known as mini pirahnas....

They are probably within your planted. I'm keeping congo tetras and yamatos together. They are doing quite well together.

The only time I saw my fish attack the yamato, was when the shirmp was half dead cos the amonia spike after rescaping... Under normal circumstance they live quite peacefully..

Hi, try looking for then after you turn of the light. Use a touch light. They will start roaming after night fall.
